This self-directed online course consists of 5 videos and accompanying PDFs of slides, with links to further resources.
It explores data from biomedical science on dieting, weight and health. Using a series of frameworks it guides the learner to consider how far their existing beliefs about what is useful are supported by the data base. It also questions discrepancies in what the data suggest is true and what is overwhelmingly presented as true by authoritative organisations, and what this means for ethical integrity.
The final video demonstrates how to use the health-justice approach Well Now with clients who seek support with “lifestyle change”.
