This is for anyone who could use a few pointers around applying nutrition science to real-life. The theory I use is called connected eating and it helps you tie together body signals, knowledge like nutrition science, and what’s needed for you in your current circumstances.
We’ll start by looking at how to figure out what makes a ‘balanced meal’ including the basics of how carbohydrates, proteins and fats impact our bodies. (The so called ‘macros’). Then we’ll consider the idea of ‘healthy foods’. We’ll go at a pace that works for the group and take tangents as needed. If there’s time we will also cover omega 3 and some vitamins and minerals.
